Community focused on providing food & needs for people experiencing a rainy day.
Sometimes the sun doesn't shine and it's hard to make ends meet.
That's where community come into play. We believe in being our brothers keeper and providing an umbrella for the rain.
In Kearney, we're more than just a community, we're family, rainy days and all.
You may utilize the Kearney Food Pantry every 2 full weeks or once a month for a temporary period of time. This will be determined at time of application for assistance. The Kearney Food Pantry exists to assist you during a temporary financial need. While we can't help you monetarily, we can provide you with some food and/or paper and cleaning items if they are available to us. Your case will be reviewed every 6 months.
Everyone hits a bump in the road from time to time. If you or someone your know is in need don't hesitate to call or come in. No one should go hungry. Don't let a situation get you down, we're here to help.

Tuesdays, 2-4 p.m. Thursdays, 3-6:30 p.m.
The Kearney Food Pantry will be closed if the Kearney R-1 School District is closed due to inclement weather.

Looking to get involved? there are more ways to help than you may think. We need money, food, and volunteers.
Hosting or participating in these provides much of our needs. Pay special attention to our top 20 list to help us recharge our stocks.
Have you ever considered adding a few extra sale items to your cart? We'd love to have you drop them by. There's no donation to small!
Help us stock, sort and staff the pantry. Or Take photo's at events, write blog post, write content for our website.
Monetary gifts help us keep the lights on as well as filling in food gaps that go unmet on various weeks.
Share simple recipes with ingredients from the food pantry. Already on Pinterest anyway? Awesome, pin your favorite recipes for us to distribute.
The Kearney Food Pantry partners with Harvesters to obtain food items for cents on the pound. Monetary donations are always welcome to fund this source and to purchase items for immediate need that the pantry might be lacking.
Our biggest resource have been churches and groups within the churches, social circles, organizations, scout groups, 4-H clubs, businesses and individuals. We're so thankful for your ongoing food drives, volunteerism, and community related efforts. We couldn't do this without you!
